The call was urgent: a pediatrician in the Ukrainian city of Chernovitz had prostate cancer. He had no money. Could we help?

Working with the doctor’s daughter, Mobile Surgery International joined hands with the Ukranian community to raise funds. Working with the civic-minded Jackson Memorial Foundation, MSI arranged a discounted hospital rate that got the doctor what he needed: great international hospitality and great surgery. In and out of hospital in 24 hours.

Here is the doctor before discharge on the morning after surgery. On the left is his American nurse. On the right is his daughter. Now he’s on his way back to Ukraine to do what he does best: save lives.
